Ich *muss* gar nichts


Gerade eben prüfte mein Firefox ob es denn für die von mir eingesetzten Plugins Updates gibt. Und siehe da, es gab ein neues QuickTime Plugin. Automatische Installation nicht möglich? Das wunderte mich, aber stellt ja kein Problem dar. Also klickte ich auf den Link für die manuelle Installation und gelangte zur Apple-Homepage.

Es gibt dort allerdings nur die Möglichkeit das neue QuickTime im Bundle mit dem iTunes Client herunterzuladen. Super Sache, denn ich will weder iTunes noch habe ich irgendeinen mobilen Music Player und desdafür schon gar keinen iPod. Gut, dann gibt's eben kein Plugin-Update.

Dafür gibt's in etwa einer Stunde die WM. Jetzt wird unsere Mannschaft erstmal die lästigen Spiele hinter sich bringen um dann bei der richtigen WM (Endspiel) gegen irgendwen (Brasilien) dann zu gewinnen. Es spricht einfach zu viel dafür.

    Der Link ist zwar etwas versteckt, aber es gibt den QuickTime Installer auch noch als "Standalone" ohne iTunes Gedöns: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html
