Firefox wird noch schneller

Freunde des alternativen Browsers haben so manches mal neidvoll in Richtung Opera geschielt, weil dieser im Ruf steht der schnellste Browser zu sein. Selbst wenn Opera schneller sein sollte (obwohl ich da anderer Meinung bin), ab Firefox 1.1 soll dies Geschichte sein.

Firefox wird in Zukunft die gerenderten Seiten im Speicher halten und diese bei Vor- oder Zurücknavigation direkt einblenden können. In den derzeitigen Nightly Builds ist das Feature bereits integriert, aber noch nicht aktiviert. Wer es testen möchte findet im Blog von Chase Philips eine Anleitung wie man dieses Feature aktivieren kann

Bleibt nur abzuwarten, ob sich das vorhalten der gerenderten Seiten negativ auf den Speicherverbrauch auswirkt.
